Lynn McDonald, RN, DNP

Lynn A. McDonald was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was raised primarily in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. She graduated from the Health Sciences Centre diploma school of nursing in 1989 in Winnipeg. She moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1990 and began at The Johns Hopkins Hospital January, 1991. She has been working in the department of GYN/ OB since 1991.

In the year 2000, her abstract from her not- yet- published manuscript was accepted from Association of Women's, Health, Obstetric Neonatal Nurses, The Annual Cancer Control Conference in DE, Oncology Nursing Society, Society of Gynecologic Nurse Oncologists and has spoken and presented at numerous functions pertaining to her cervical cancer screening program. Her poster was named Best Graphic Presentation by the Society of Gynecologic Nurse Oncologists.

Her manuscript entitled, " An Inpatient Cervical Cancer Screening Program to Reach Underserved women was published in AWHONN in 2000. Currently, she coordinates the Cervical Cancer Screening Program for the hospital since 1997 and attends The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.
