Dear Colleagues:

I am writing to let you know that, effective July 1 2005, I have asked Dr. Judy Stiff to chair IRB 3. For those of you who do not know Judy, she is an anesthesiologist who has served on IRB 5 as cochair for many years and was chair of IRB 6 during the shutdown. She has an intimate knowledge of the federal regulations and their application within our institution as well as experience with a wide range of research. She is a great colleague and I am sure that, like the IRB chairs and myself, you will enjoy working with her.
