Best of the Best 2005

November 22, 2005

Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Wendy Sanders as Assistant Dean for Graduate and Medical Education. This new position stems from the increasing demand for programs that enhance career services and professional development for students, fellows and young faculty. It will report to the Office of Graduate Student Affairs directed by Dr. Peter Maloney.

Ms. Sanders has served as the Director of the Professional Development Office since its inception. Concurrent appointment as Assistant Dean recognizes her success in establishing this office as the pre-eminent resource for programs in Biomedical Communications for the entire JHMI community. Her additional duties will include developing intercession courses in Biomedical Communications as part of our new medical school curriculum and establishing new programs to encourage an interest in science among high school students, through the various partnerships JHM has with area schools. Please join me in congratulating Wendy on her new title and position.

Sincerely,
David G. Nichols, M.D.
