New HP-Managed Print Services Program Launches Systemwide

To the Johns Hopkins Medicine community

As we continue to seek ways to enhance Johns Hopkins' performance through practical, systemwide integration opportunities, The Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Health System will implement a new print services program. HP has been selected as the supplier for all university and health system printing devices, including printers, copiers, scanners and fax machines. HP will also assume responsibility for the management, maintenance and servicing of these devices. A transition plan is set to replace all non-HP print devices and services with HP products through a phased rollout by December 2017.

Key Benefits of the HP-Managed Print Services Program to The Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Health System

  • Improved printing and imaging capabilities
  • Greater cost savings systemwide through reduced printing costs
  • Reduced environmental impact by using energy-efficient devices, and fewer of them overall
  • Improved security across our network and all devices
  • Enhanced service and maintenance reliability per required service-level standards

To ensure a seamless transition, the program's implementation team will work with designated business leads at each location to provide rollout details and training for staff members involved with printer management.

We will provide major updates as the transition to the HP-Managed Print Services Program moves forward.

Thank you.
