Suburban Hospital Announces LeighAnn Sidone as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer

To the Johns Hopkins Medicine community

I am pleased to announce that LeighAnn Sidone has been promoted to the position of Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

LeighAnn came to Suburban Hospital in 1995 as a staff nurse in the Clinical Oncology Unit. Since then, she has served as nurse manager of the Oncology and Infusion Center, Director of Oncology and the Adult/Surgery Trauma Unit, Director of Professional Practice and Nursing Quality and, most recently, Associate Chief Nurse.

During her 21 years at Suburban, LeighAnn has made significant contributions to our nursing program and the care of patients at Suburban Hospital. In her recent role as Director of Professional Practice/Associate Chief Nurse she has developed and implemented the nursing self-governance model. These efforts have included a nursing council structure, the nursing clinical ladder model, and the peer review nursing evaluation process. This engagement of front-line nurses has improved nursing practice and patient care at Suburban Hospital.

Please join me in congratulating LeighAnn on her new role.

Sincerely,

Jacky Schultz
Executive Vice President and Interim President
Suburban Hospital
