Johns Hopkins Medicine Town Meeting on Health and Wellness Set for June 6

To the Johns Hopkins Medicine community

Health and wellness will be the focus of the next Johns Hopkins Medicine Town Meeting at The Johns Hopkins Hospital on Tuesday, June 6, from noon to 1 p.m. in Hurd Hall. Paul B. Rothman, dean of the medical faculty and CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Ronald R. Peterson, president of The Johns Hopkins Health System, will provide updates on the organization's people pillar—of which employee health and wellness is a key component—along with the other strategic priorities.

Janice Clements, vice dean for faculty for the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, will moderate a panel discussion on our progress with the Centers for Disease Control's Worksite Health ScoreCard, healthier eating initiative, Healthy at Hopkins activities and available resources to enhance your health.

Other panelists include:

  • Kara Damon, Healthy at Hopkins program manager, The Johns Hopkins Health System
  • Kristena Lukish, vice president of human resources, The Johns Hopkins Hospital
  • Angelo Mojica, senior director of nutrition and culinary services, Johns Hopkins Medicine
  • Richard Safeer, medical director of employee health and wellness, Johns Hopkins HealthCare
  • Inez Stewart, senior vice president for human resources, Johns Hopkins Medicine

Come with questions and comments about the people strategic priority, and bring your smartphone, laptop or tablet. You will have the opportunity to respond online, by text or via email to thoughtful poll questions and see your colleagues' results in real time.

If you have a question you'd like to submit, please email it before the meeting to townhall@jhmi.edu. Time allowing, the facilitator will ask the panelists to respond to some of the emailed questions.

For your convenience, if you are unable to attend the meeting, you will have the opportunity to view it live online or watch an on-demand recording. See details and instructions here.
