Thank You for Making a Difference

To employees, officers and medical staff of The Johns Hopkins Hospital

Dear Johns Hopkins Hospital employees,

The 2016 Johns Hopkins Medicine United Way campaign has officially ended, and I would like to take a moment to send a personal message of gratitude for your tremendous support.

We set an overall campaign goal for Johns Hopkins Medicine. Each hospital and organization within the institution had a goal to reach as well. Thanks to your contributions, I am pleased to share that The Johns Hopkins Hospital exceeded its 2016 goal and raised more than $540,000.

I want to extend a special thank-you to the more than 50 United Way ambassadors and coordinators across the hospital who helped rally the troops within your departments to keep the momentum and spirit alive throughout the campaign.

Many of you passionately organized chili cook-offs, raffles, pumpkin-decorating contests, painting socials, gingerbread house-decorating contests and many other creative activities that helped raise funds for the campaign.

Thanks to your support, United Way can continue to make a difference for families and communities by offering programs that help children succeed in school, prevent family homelessness and provide access to healthy, nutritious food.

I am already looking forward to leading the charge for the 2017 campaign to continue changing the odds for those in need.

Sincerely,

Redonda G. Miller, M.D., M.B.A.
President, The Johns Hopkins Hospital
Co-Chair, 2016 Johns Hopkins Medicine United Way Campaign
