Continuing a Legacy of Nursing Excellence

To Johns Hopkins Hospital nurses

Dear Colleagues,

At Johns Hopkins Medicine, our timeline includes many historic firsts–a legacy our team proudly carries forward. Among those firsts, The Johns Hopkins Hospital was the first hospital in Maryland to achieve Magnet recognition. This week we are proud to congratulate every nurse at JHH for building on that legacy of excellence by earning Magnet designation for a fourth time.

This prestigious recognition honors your commitment to attaining the highest levels of achievement in nursing. It also serves as a testament to the fact that we are, indeed, better together, as it highlights the transdisciplinary partnerships that enable us to take the very best care of our patients and their families.

We are deeply proud of the work you do, and we welcome this formal acknowledgment of something we have always known: JHH Nursing is the gold standard.

Congratulations on this special accomplishment, and thank you for your dedication to our patients, your unwavering professionalism and all you do to advance the field of nursing.

Sincerely,

Paul B. Rothman, M.D.
Dean of the Medical Faculty
