Details | As you are aware, Super Typhoon Haiyan, one of the most powerful storms ever recorded, ravaged the central islands of the Philippines last week and Vietnam remains within its force. This is a truly devastating time as the number of deaths rises and the destruction is assessed. Many of us have colleagues, friends and loved ones who are directly affected by the loss of life and suffering from this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of the Philippines. If you have not yet given to the Johns Hopkins United Way Campaign and are looking for a way to help the recovery and rebuilding in the Philippines – here is a way to do both: United Way Worldwide has set up a Disaster Rebuilding Fund that you can give through our Johns Hopkins United Way Campaign – pledge online today to lend your support locally or to those in need in the Philippines (designations can be made to “United Way Worldwide Disaster Rebuilding Fund”). Thank you for your support of our community! |
