Details | Please join us for the fourth Research Integrity Colloquium of the 2017-2018 season on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. in Chevy Chase Auditorium (Zayed 2119A). This event will also be simulcast to the Levi Watkins Conference Room, Bayview (MFL Bldg., Center Tower, 3rd floor). The colloquium, entitled The Responsible Management of Clinical Research Data, will feature presentations by Christopher Chute, DrPH, MD, MPH, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Health Informatics, Professor of Medicine, and Chief Health Research Information Officer; Diana Gumas, MS, Senior Director of Clinical Research Information Systems and Services, Director of the Epic Data Warehouse, and Director of the Center for Clinical Data Analysis; and Darren Lacey, JD, Chief Information Security Officer. Dr. Chute will introduce the session and provide an overview of important factors clinical researchers should consider with respect to data analysis and management; Ms. Gumas will speak about approaches and resources for responsible data analysis and management; and Mr. Lacey will speak about the importance and practical aspects of the security of clinical research data.
The Research Integrity Colloquia (formerly the Dean’s Research Integrity Lecture Series) are a core component of the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Program, which is administered by the Division of Research Integrity in the Office of Policy Coordination. All individuals participating in research at the SOM are required to complete training in RCR. Complete information on the 2017-2018 Colloquia can be found at the Research Integrity website. You may register for this colloquium by visiting myLearning (under the Education tab) in the Johns Hopkins portal and clicking on Responsible Conduct of Research (located under Compliance in the course catalog).
