At 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, The Johns Hopkins Hospital is transitioning from our current "conventional" troponin I test to high-sensitivity cardiac troponin I (HsTnI). The HsTnI tests detect troponin at much lower concentrations in the blood and with superior analytical precision. Using this more sensitive assay will allow clinicians to more quickly, efficiently and accurately diagnose myocardial injury. - Radiologist in the MPCU: Beginning late July, a senior resident will staff a radiology workstation in the MPCU 3 days a week from 1-4 pm. Their role is to serve as a member of your house staff's patient care team, whether it be for selecting the best imaging test or understanding the results of one of their patient's radiology exams.
